Kiji (キジー)

Hello everyone! After so many people told me I should make a food blog since I only share food pictures on Instagram  (lol), I decided to create one to kill some free time. 😄

So.... good luck putting up with me!

よろしくー✌

I'm just getting started (This is my first blog) so I apologize for it looking so damn simple and boring, but I'll try to improve it with time. 😂

So! Let's start my first post.

Last Monday I went to visit a Monjayaki and Okonomiyaki place near my apartment in Takadanobaba Station.

Okonomiyaki is a kind of japanese pancake that can include a wide variety of ingredients and is simply delicious! and monjayaki is similar to okonomiyaki but thinner and with some different base ingredients.

The place is called Kiji (キジー)(click in the name for more info!)

They used to be called Mu no Shisou (ムーの子孫) and they actually were a Pokestop (yeah, I played Pokemon Go for a while), but they reinvented themselves and created a more stylish store in the same place.

Which looks quite cool, specially since I love the mix of colors with black and white 💕

They have an AMAZING deal of lunch during weekdays. Only ¥900 for two hours all you can eat! 食べ放題 it's the best 💖

I LOVE okonomiyaki so this was perfect for me! Even though I'm on diet (yeah, sure 😂) I couldn't say no to this.... walking next to this store everyday I always wanted to try it.

And I had the perfect opportunity since my friend Madeleine and her sister Marlene were staying at my place and we wanted to go somewhere to have lunch 🌟

The place was everything I wanted and more!

So, these places normally have a big iron griddle where you can make your own okonomiyaki. They give you the ingredients which you have to mix and drop in the griddle to cook it.

I'm not very confident at making okonomiyaki by myself since I worry about the shape it will get, but these one look good, don't they?

The menu itself has many dishes and you can also add many toppings of your choice so it can be quite personalized in flavor. Apart from okonomiyaki and mojayaki they also have yakisoba, udon and some other small dishes.

Though the best part is that you don´t only have meals, but also dessert (yey!) which is the best thing ever. Nothing is better than all you can eat that includes sweets!

And to my surprise... the dessert also has to be done in the iron griddle!
These desserts are described in the menu as dessert monjayaki

Don´t they look delicious?? 😍💓
These are  berries and apple cinammon flavors! The "monjayaki" part is made with corn flakes and a sweet sauce that you drop in the iron griddle, making a small circle to cook, and the top is done with whip cream and some toppings... and they were amazing!

First time trying something so nice and original, completely recommended to everyone to try!

Hope you enjoyed reading this and I´ll try to upload some other cool places when I visit them 😉
